July 8^th, Professor Tu Xinquan was invited by China Central Television to participate its live program "CCTV Financial Review" and commentated on the outcomes of the 12^th WTO Ministerial Conference. Professor Tu pointed out that it was inspiring that the ten related achievements far exceeded expectations under the current severe global trade relations. He said that China did not only actively form a good consensus with other countries on issues such as vaccines, fishery subsidies, and tariff-free electronic transmission but also played a role of intermediator based on her trade influence to assist other member states in bridging trade differences. Looking ahead, Professor Tu believes it is necessary to further optimize the monitoring mechanism to maximize the benefits of the outcomes of this ministerial conference.
