On December 13, 2023, Pascal Lamy, Vice Chairman of the Paris Peace Forum and former Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), visited the Beijing headquarters of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and participated in a series of meetings. Discussions were moderated by CCG Chairman Wang Huiyao on the theme of "Reimagining the International Trading System for Re-globaliztion," and Mr. Lamy and Mr. Huiyao provided suggestions to the 13th WTO Ministerial Conference. Sun Yongfu, Senior Researcher at CCG and former Director of the European Department of the Ministry of Commerce, Ji Wenhua, WTO Co-Chair and Professor of the Law School at UIBE, and Li Siqi, Associate Professor from China Institute for WTO Studies at UIBE, were invited as special guests to attend these meetings and to provide their valuable insights on the theme.
