On the morning of May 7, the closing ceremony of the national foreign aid training program "Workshop on Economic and Trade Cooperation and Development Under the Global Development Initiative," hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by WTO Chair at UIBE, was grandly held in Lecture Hall 118 of Gaoyuan Building. Vice President Chen Deqiu attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

In his speech, Vice President Chen Deqiu pointed out that the world is undergoing profound development, transformation, and adjustment. Global challenges such as poverty eradication, food security, and climate change urgently require the international community to build consensus and take coordinated actions. Faced with common development needs, developing countries should promote multi-field and in-depth practical cooperation with an open and united attitude, and explore inclusive development paths through experience sharing and resource pooling. He particularly mentioned that China has always provided development opportunities for the world through its own modernization practice, and helped developing countries break through development bottlenecks by sharing practical experience in poverty alleviation governance, green transition, digital innovation, and other fields. He encouraged the participants to take the achievements of the workshop as a link, continuously promote policy alignment and people-to-people bonds, act as practitioners of their own countries' development, communicators of China's stories, and promoters of global cooperation, and work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Mr. Devi Prasad Upadhaya from the Ministry of Education of Nepal and Mr. Hamida Hasan from Palestine delivered speeches on behalf of the participants. They stated that through field visits to Changyuan Village (Shanghai), Xinghui Vegetable Co., Ltd., Zhida Technology Co., Ltd., Aihuishou Co., Ltd., Dianshuo Beiken Co., Ltd., Shanghai Zhangjiang Robot Valley, and other places, the participants gained an in-depth understanding of China's innovative practices in agricultural modernization transformation, rural revitalization, green technology, biomedicine, robot manufacturing, and other fields. They highly praised China's governance wisdom in balancing ecological protection and economic growth through innovation-driven development, and emphasized that they will draw on China's development experience and explore sustainable development solutions in combination with local needs.

At the end of the ceremony, Vice President Chen Deqiu awarded the participants with completion certificates issued by the Ministry of Commerce and UIBE alumni certificates. Dean Li Changzhou presented each participant with a souvenir carrying precious memories.
