Prof. Tu Xinquan attends the RJC9 Stakeholder Roundtable in Japan

On May 13, the roundtable titled "The RCEP Opportunity in Global Trade Uncertainty" was held in Tokyo, Japan. The event was jointly organized by the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) and the East Asian Bureau of Economic Research (EABER) at the Australian National University. It was held back-to-back with the 9th RCEP Joint Committee Meeting and brought together representatives from RCEP member state governments, aiming to strengthen stakeholder dialogue.

Experts from across RCEP member countries attended the meeting, including International Chamber of Commerce Chair John Denton, ERIA Chairman Watanabe, EABER Director Peter Drysdale, Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore Danny Quah, and Indonesia’s Presidential Trade Policy Advisor and former World Bank Vice President Mari Elka Pangestu.

Professor Tu Xinquan was invited to participate and shared his views and recommendations on promoting green trade liberalization within the RCEP framework, which attracted significant attention from attendees.
