Prof. Tu was invited to attend the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS)

From June 23 to 25, the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) was held in Nairobi, Kenya. ACUNS is an academic network composed of United Nations-related academic institutions worldwide. This year’s meeting took place at the University of Nairobi and the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON). The conference featured in-depth discussions on topics such as United Nations reform, bringing together over 200 scholars from around the world.

As a council member of the United Nations Association of China (UNA-China), Prof. Tu Xinquan was invited to attend the conference as part of the Chinese delegation. He delivered a keynote speech at the panel titled “East Asia and UN Reform,” sharing insights on the future of multilateralism and China’s role within it.

During his stay in Nairobi, Prof. Tu also met with Li Qihang, an alumnus from the Class of 2016 of our institute, who is currently working at Huawei’s East Africa headquarters.
