On February 8-9, the Inception Conference of the 2021 Think20 (T20) was held virtually by Italy,  the year-long presidency of the G20. Representatives from more than 700 think tanks around the world attended the conference. Professor Tu Xinquan was appointed by the organizing committee as one of the co-chairs of the Task Force on Trade, Investment and Growth, and moderated the discussion on industrial subsidies. In addition, Professor Tu Xinquan coauthored two policy briefs led respectively by Tatiana Prazeres, Senior Fellow at UIBE, and Andreas Freytag, Professor of Economics at the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena. Both of the policy briefs were officially accepted by the organizing committee.
