On March 27-30, Dean Tu Xinquan and Associate Professor Lu Yue were invited to participate in the 60th Annual Convention of International Studies Association in Toronto. This year's annual convention invited more than 6,500 well-known scholars from around 85 countries and regions to carry out a profound and lively discussion on the theme of "Re-Visioning International Studies: Innovation and Progress".

After the preliminary application, CIWTO successfully applied for one of the sub-forums of this annual convention. On the afternoon of March 29, Dean Professor Tu Xinquan moderated the sub-forum with the theme of "The impact of Chinese Outward Foreign Direct Investment on Host Countries", and Associate Professor Lu Yue presented her research on "Untangling the Political Influence of Foreign Investment in Host Countries: An Analysis of Chinese FDI in the United States".
