According to the result of 2014 national social science fund project and youth project review recently released by the national planning office of philosophical and social sciences, our school has 28 projects approved, including four key projects, 17 general projects, and 7 projects surported by youth foundation. Our amount of projects is tied with Fudan University for the 20th place among the 709 organizations being founded nationwide, ranking second in similar universities and colleges. The project of professor Tu Xinquan, studying about “Research on the Problem of State-owned Enterprises in Economic and Trade Relations between China and the United States ”was approved as one of the key projects. Issues on State-owned enterprises have become a focal point in Sino-US economic.It is the first time that national social science fund focus on this subject, which means our institute’s research interest is ahead of the curve.
