During May 16-17, 2016 annual meeting of AWRN was held in Hong Kong, jointly organized by Asia WTO Research Network and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The theme of the annual meeting was "TPP: new changes in the rules of international trade?" During the meeting, nearly 60 experts and scholars from more than 20 colleges and research institutes of different countries like New Zealand, Japan, North Korea, Australia, Singapore, China and India launched a warm and in-depth discussion about the relations between TPP and multilateral trading system, dispute settlement, market access of trade for goods and services in TPP, competition policies and investment issues of TPP, TPP with government procurement and E-Commerce, new issues on the rights of labors with anti-corruption and the question about TPP members. The dean of CIWTO, expert member Tu Xinquan was invited to the meeting, submitting a paper on the government procurement in TPP named "Government Procurement in TPP and Its Implications on China's Negotiation on Acceding GPA", and addressed a keynote speech.
