On 29 May, on the 2017 China (Beijing) E-Commerce Conference, one of the activities of the 2017 Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services, Nie Linhai, inspector at the Department of Electronic Commerce and Informatization of the Ministry of Commerce, launched the 2016 China E-Commerce Report. CIWTO was invited to contribute to the report, which is an authoritative annual report compiled by the Department of E-Commerce at Ministry of Commerce, indicating that the research work done by CIWTO in the field of e-commerce in recent years had gained recognition by the Ministry of Commerce. CIWTO was responsible for a chapter titled "Global e-commerce development report". The chapter is prepared by Professor Zhou Nianli under the responsibility of Professor Tu Xinquan. Cao Hongyu and other PhD students also participated in the preparation of the chapter.
